Where are games played?

The home field is in Chesterton Park, just east of Chesterton Middle School at the intersection of 5th St. and Porter Ave. Duneland Diamond competes in the Porter County Youth League with away games at Washington Twp, Morgan Twp, Valpo Americans, Valpo Parks, Kouts, and Portage.

Is there tryouts or an evaluation?

Duneland Diamond is a Babe Ruth League. Anyone who registers will be assigned to a team and get equal opportunity to play and grow as a player. The league allows teams to stay intact from one season to the next and new players are added to the rosters as appropriate. After registration, the coaches meet, discuss the players and team needs.

Are there any equipment restrictions or requirements?

Bats must be either USA, BBCOR, or wood. USSA bats are not allowed.

Metal cleats are allowed but are not required.

Jerseys and hats are provided but the manager may ask for a particular pant color to match the team. No new purchase is required if you already have pants.
