	Throughout the year, this site will provide league news.  In addition to field locations and team rosters, schedules will be updated and posted.

  

 

2012 Registration 

 

Duneland Diamond provides Babe Ruth Baseball for players aged 13 through 15.

League age is determined as of May 1, 2012.

 

Registration fees are $180.000 and include $30 for the league fundraiser. 

Players will receive 6 - $5 discount cards for local and national establishments.

There is no maximum registration fee per family.

Each player must pay the full registration rate, including the fundraiser.

 

Children living within the area served by the Duneland School Corporation are eligible to play.

Former Liberty Rec players and those new to the league must provide a birth certificate.

 

Wednesday, January 25 and Wednesday, February 1

5:00 – 6:45pm

Liberty Intermediate School, 50 W 900 N, Chesterton

 

Registrations accepted after February 1 may be charged a $20 late fee.

 

DID YOUR SON PLAY DUNELAND DIAMOND IN 2011?

You can complete this form and mail it, along with a $180 check made payable to "Duneland Diamond,"

to Michelle Miloshoff, 768 Dodge Trail, Westville IN 46391 (postmarked by February 1).

 

IS YOUR SON TRYING OUT FOR A HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM?

Duneland Diamond will work with families for high school aged players in order for the boys to play with

Duneland Diamond after the high school season.  For guaranteed placement on a team, all

players must be registered prior to teams being put together, which will occur shortly after registration.

 

The full fee of $180 is due at registration and includes $30 for our league fundraiser.  If your son makes

a high school baseball team and you notify the league president at miloshoff@yahoo.com,

$35 will be returned to you.  If you provide two checks at registration ($145 + $35), the $35 check will be

returned to you or shredded per your direction.  If you choose to provide one check, a DD refund will be

sent to you.  Only players who are trying out for a high school baseball team will receive this opportunity.

It is not for those who want to play in another league or have conflicting schedules.

Composite Bat Use 

 

INFORMATION UPDATED 11-23-11 . . . The bat may not exceed 34” in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8” in diameter. All aluminum/alloy barrel bats and all composite handle (only) aluminum/alloy barrels are allowed. Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed. Wood barrel bats conforming to the specifications of Official Baseball Rule 1.10 are allowed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only COMPOSITE BARREL bats that will be permitted in the 13-15 Baseball Division are those that have been BESR (Bat Exit Speed Ration) and ABI (Accelerated Break-In) tested and approved and are found listed at www.nfhs.org.  These are the only approved COMPOSITE BARREL bats and they are all -3 bats.  Bats in the same make and model with a minus or drop greater than -3 are not allowed.  Further, the Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Division will allow ALL aluminum/alloy 2 5/8 inch barrel bats and ALL COMPOSITE HANDLE (only) aluminum/alloy barrel bats in any minus or drop.
